Gigi the cat is on this side. This little minx ran away last week much to its owners worry. All is well now though and she has returned. Swathed in Cling Film this pot is taking forever to complete but I think it is going to worth it in the end.
Hi Lala, I am glad you like the pot it is so difficult with a commission to get the likeness right. I am viewing more houses in your area on Saturday! If your about we have to meet up for coffee, I love your latest batch of books and tags on Etsy.
Hi Linda, yes I am SO glad the Gigi cat came back...can you imagine!?!
Hi Kitty. Love your work! Somehow you make sure that one never forgets it is made of clay. Your profile: "usually the mistakes which turn out to be the best pieces" . . . the Japanese call it "the gift from the fire".
In the end I make pots. I live some of the time in a rural village just 28k south of the city of Granada where my studio is and if you read this blog you will soon discover that I spend a great deal of time in England too, where my work sells.
I am obsessed by my medium; I work along personal lines of creativity where it is usually the mistakes which turn out to be the best pieces. I am exceptionally slow at thinking and I am prone to be influenced by everything and everyone around me.I don’t own any of my own work except “My Little Pony”; a vase that didn’t sell in 2007 {archive pot no 1 below} and which later became too difficult to part with.
“Goodbye” said the fox. “Now here is my secret. It is very simple. It is only with one’s heart that one can see clearly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

I love the plant life that the cat is emerging from, as much as the cat itself. Lovely detail.
