Ta-da!!!!!! Brilliant. I especially like the lid with the bunch of leaves on the top. Whoever put in this commission is a lucky soul! Hope it travels ok. Well done!
Kitty, I just love your work. Just found your blog. I am a newbie to pottery and your work is so inspirational. Can you tell me what it is you paint onto your pots with? Many thanks, Chantay
I have a crazy system of working; I split my life between the South of England and the South of Spain. My pottery is in a rural village south of the city of Granada where solitude, stone floors and the weather combine to help me create the pots. Commuting between the two countries works for me, I need to hook into the hustle and bustle of England, the bombarding of language and ideas and so it is here that I design and plan the work to bring back to my idyll.
I am obsessed by my medium; I work along personal lines of creativity where it is usually the mistakes which turn out to be the best pieces. I am exceptionally slow at thinking and I am prone to be influenced by everything and everyone around me. I don’t own any of my own work except “My Little Pony”; a vase that didn’t sell in 2007 {archive pot no 1 below} and which later became too difficult to part with.
“Goodbye” said the fox. “Now here is my secret. It is very simple. It is only with one’s heart that one can see clearly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

Beautiful!!! your imagination is incredible, amazing piece of art, congratulations
oh so wonderful, love the empty space too, that really emphasizes the details of your design.
Thank you for your kind comments, much appreciated. It is now packed and ready to fly back to England!
Oh I came back to look again, like the pinkish blush to the sky as if at sunrise or sunset, just lovely.
